On demand not working

I'm having a problem with on demand. I have been receiving the error code CMOD-5 for the past hour. I've already rest the box and it still doesn't work. This is very frustrating. I'm paying over $200 a month for comcast. I just got home from work and can't watch what I'm paying for. I work a lot and watch most of my shows on demand. I can't afford another $15 dollars a month for the dvr feature. Is there a way to fix this?

I have always watched Greys Anatomy online usually a day after its on TV. Why is Xfinity now stating ABC is not part of my package? Also tried to watch an HBO show and although we do have HBO, its stating we don't. I am trying to watch these on my desktop.

Seriously, another Sunday night and my program on my DVR was not recorded in its entirety?  What is the point of having it.  I haven't watched a "Good Wife" ending in I don't know how long.  If one records a program shouldn't one be able to see it whether or not football goes over?  Please don't tell me to watch the end on On Demand.  Since we can't FF I would have to watch the entire program and commercials to see the last 15 minutes of a show.

 

I pay $300 a month for your bundles, honestly what is the point!!!!!   I have been a comcast customer for many, many years, but don't expect to be one much longer.

I am a new customer and I've only had my TV and internet up and running for a week. I am not currently able to play anything (tv shows, movies, ect) through On Demand. The coax cable is securely affixed and I've attempted to re-boot the box several times. No matter what I attempt to watch through SD (I don't subscribe to HD channels) on XOD, I get the error message "Sorry, we're having some trouble. This program is not available to watch at the moment. Please try again in a few minutes." Error code SRM-9004 (no additonal characters before or after the code).

 

Please assist. Thank you in advance.

Bad cable line for years no on demand

Hello, 

Our cable had no on demand services for years. Other channels also in and out. Everytime we had someone come out, they would change the ends of the cables and it would work for an hours or so.and then back to the same old same old. For the last 10 years it has been like this. Finally, they figured out (through our suggestion) that maybe they should check the line leading into the house, since it had been the same for at least 25 years. Please,,, I think we deserve a huge price adjustment. Maybe for the next 10 years even.  I think we definately deserve some kind of serious compensation for the high prices we have been paying. Thanks


Will upgrading to X1 improve my On Demand experience?

Hello,

  I have a basica Motorola box with the Starter XF package, no HD, no DVR.  The On Demand menus are slow and periodically I have trouble with On Demand not working.  Sometimes On Demand won't even load, giving me an error telling me to try again in a few minutes.  It is often better 10 min later but last weekend gave me the error message for like that for about 12 hours.  Other times I try and play a show and I will get a similar error.  Trying a few times almost always will bring success, but I shouldn't have to do that.

 

  So, if I upgrade to the X1 box will On Demand work better or will the menus still be slow with the service intermittently not wanting to load.  On Demand performance is probably the only reason I'd upgrade.

This is one of my favorite shows but is only aired at 5 on Sundays and unfortunately I'm at work then.  So I look forward to watching it Monday evenings, when it usually appears On Demand.  However, episode 6 that aired yesterday is missing.  Any idea when it will become available?  The unreliability of shows getting added to On Demand is so frustrating!

My DVR's hard drive died 2 weeks ago and I had to go swap out boxes.  Since then, I cant connect to On Demand on the replacement box, nor the Anyroom DVR I have in the back room.  The back box can't see the DVR programs either.  When pushing on Demand, I get a  error code of: CL-0x000f. It's my understanding that code is related to signal quality.  What are the odds that my signal would have issues for both tvs right after the main dvr died, when there was really no signal issues prior?  I've called Comcast and they sent a reset to the back anyroom dvr a couple of times to no avail.  I was told it was being elevated to tech support.  Have heard NOTHING since then.  I've called at least 3 other times and was taken in the menu to where I could just leave my number for call back.  Still nothing!  I'm a little hacked off to say the least. Tell me again why I pay extra money for backroom access to the DVR that has no acces to the DVR nor On Demand???

FYI - Fox News Channel has not been streaming on TV GO for several hours today, Tuesday, 10/13/15. All other channels tested are working including Fox Business

TIVO Romeo box VOD quit working

I went through a long series of calls to get my TIVO series 5 Romeo box to get Video On Demand.

 

They adjusted some comments in my accont and all worked well for a week or so.  Now when I select Xfinity on demand I get a SERVICE ERROR message telling me to call my cable provider and Reference GSM-7.  It then says the local code isSmiley SadTIVOCRD-a2p.Comcast.Co.

I just spent an hour on line with comcast cable card and Tivo cable card tech and they have no idea what it can be.  A tech is comming in 2 days but I don't think a new card is the fix.  Any info appreciated.

 

cannot activate HBO GO on Apple TV

I cannot activate HBO GO on my Apple TV.  I log onto www.hbogo.com/activate, choose Xfinity, log in on my account, and it takes me to a screen with the options to upgrade to HBO NOW or "no thanks".  I choose "no thanks" and instead of being directed to the screen to input the activation code, I am taken to the Xfinity main webpage.  I have called and spoken to several Comcast representatives and have received no help at all.  One rep opened a tech ticket, and still the issue is unresolved.  This is very frustrating, as the activation procedure worked flawlessly for me in July.


TIVO VOD error GSM-7

VOD used to work great on my two tivo boxes. For the last week or so, I have been having intermittent problems with error:

 

Service Error
Request failed. Please try again. If problem continues, call your cable operator. Reference (GSM-7) when calling. The locale code is tivocrd-cmc-a5p.comcast.com.

 

(the "5" varies among different numbers, e.g., a2p, a4p, etc.)

 

The service error happens to both boxes at the same time, and lasts anywhere from a few minutes to several hours before service resumes (at this time its been out at least 4 hours). Sometimes, I can get the top VOD menu list of show categories, but when I select a category, I get the same error and have to try several minutes over and over until I can select the category.

 

I tried calling, but didn't have much luck.

 

Any suggestions?

Fix OnDemand - Master Chef

I have been trying for the last two weeks to view the Master Chef shows OnDemand and it will not work. It keeps saying that I need a subscription to the channel but it is broadcast on Fox which is just regular cable, no separate subscription is needed for this channel. I would like to watch the rest of this series. Please fix it!!!!

Noticed recently that all tv shows are being charged for now, not even current seasons are free. This is infuriating, I might as well just go to Hulu and be done with it

MY ON DEMAND IS NOT WORKING, AGAIN! Everytime I make a selection, the episodes (I've tried several different ones) are all skipping.
lately, I have had issue after issue trying to watch anything On Demand and its to the point now that it DOSNT work more often than it does.
last week, I couldn't get anything to play at all- I just kept getting an error code.. For days. And now, everything just skips and freezes.
and yes, I have REPEATEDLY tried restarting/unplugging/checking my connections- the whole 9 yards, with no luck fixing it. The "chat with an agent online" support dosnt work, I never get a reply from an agent. and I don't have the time or desire to spend forever on hold while trying to reach an agent by phone.

This is ridiculous, I pay a ton of money just for the basic package so that I can receive on demand (and the on demand is the ONLY reason I even stay with Comcast) but yet, it never even works when I want to watch it.
So does anyone have any suggestions on another provider? one that im able to watch current tv shows airing whenever I actually want to?

On-Demand not working on TiVo Roamio

Whenever we try to access the service, we get a GSM-2 error (Locale code tivocrd-cmc-a3p.comcast.com). 

 

The cable channels, and premium channels (HBO mainly) work just fine.

 

Already tried rebooting the box (from the help menu), error is still there. 

 

Any thoughts to try?
